Hello! The purpose of this blog is to have a dialog with you, our library patrons. Here I will post my musings on library services, exciting programs and services the library is offering, and other items of interest.

I just wanted to make a suggestion. To cut down on the video game going missing. The Crest Hill library does a picture of the game in plastic. You browse thru them to see what game you want. You take it to the checkout counter and they give you the game there.

Thanks for your suggestion. We are definitely looking for better security. We have some great ideas and know that this situation needs a solution. We also know that other libraries share this dilemma…trying to offer patrons the best service possible while thwarting thieves!

Any plans for making software available so people can check out books and download them to their pc or IPOD? What about e-books? I know libaries in LaGrange and Elmhurst are offering this. Please advise. Thank you.
